Today was my last day with Mumma and Paul.
We woke up, got ready and walked down 5th Avenue towards Central Park. We stopped at a food vendor and got a coffee and breakfast. I got this BIG iced donut twist and it was SO YUMMY. We walked into Central Park and sat down on a bench to eat and drink and started feeding the squirrels and the birds and then got absolutely surrounded by various birds and other animals! We then walked around Central Park - I showed them the ice skating rink, the rocks you can stand on to take photos, The Mall (the famous walkway with benches and trees that is always used for filming movies), the fountain (the 'friends' fountain from the opening credits), the lake and the horses and carriages. We had a nice walk around, even though, again, it was SO COLD. We walked back up 5th Avenue back to the hotel.
This afternoon we were all going to Ridgefield back to Gwen and Keith's house so that everybody could meet! At Grand Central Station we took the 12.51pm train to Katonah and arrived there at 2pm. Keith picked us up from the train station and took us home. Gwen's dad came over too. Mum and Paul got Cameron, Avery and Beverly all some really cute and nice presents and they were all really happy with them. We all began just chatting and eating some cheese and biscuits. It was so strange having everyone in the same room! We had a lovely dinner of spaghetti and meatballs also with chicken. There was homemade cheesecake for dessert. It was so good. After dinner we chatted some more, took some photos and also played some family games with the kids. We all had such a wonderful evening and then it was time for Mum and Paul to make their way to the train station to catch their train (they had already missed one train because they wanted to stay longer!) Stephen drove them to the train station and I went along too. We said our goodbyes, watched them get onto their train and waved as it pulled out of the station.
Those 3 days went SO quickly but we also did so much, experienced so much and made some lovely memories.
I am so happy and thrilled that Mum and Paul got to meet the Lovejoy family.
