Day 1 of our holiday!
Today we left for Fort Myers, Florida! A little holiday for me, Gwen and Cameron and we would be with Gwen's mom Jackie too who was already out there. It was the easiest I have ever found it to get up at 5am - knowing I would be going to a hot, sunny and relaxing place!
We had an easy plane journey (I fell asleep...) and arrived in Florida around 10.30am. Jackie picked us up from the airport and we went straight to her condo which is literally 5 minutes from the airport. We dropped off all our things and straight away got changed into our bikinis to go into the pool! We spent the whole day in the hot sun at the pool. We ordered lunch and I got a buffalo chicken sandwich which was HUGE but so, so tasty. I spent a lot of time sunbathing but also I spent a lot of time in the pool with Cameron. He was 'learning to swim' but was doing really well considering it was just us teaching him.
That evening we renting a movie to watch and ordered Chinese food for dinner - delicious!!! We watched the film whilst eating lots of candies and chocolate! That evening I realised my error of not applying any sun lotion. My legs, stomach and chest were lobster red... OOPS!!
