Mine definitely wasn't the worst

This evening was my first evening at college! I am studying at Norwalk Community College and I am doing Drawing 1 which basically means, learning to draw for absolute beginners! I will be going every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7pm till 10pm to earn my credits / hours for my US visa. When I first got to class our teacher asked us all to set up an easel and get various materials and I had NO idea how to do it or what he was talking about but neither did a few other people so that was ok! In the middle of the room was a table with pillows on it and I was thinking, oh my god! I am a complete beginner how am I going to draw pillows?! We all set up and had a brief introduction about the course, himself, the materials we will be using and the aim for the end of the course. He then gave us a demonstration on how to start to draw the pillow and assigned us homework which was to draw a mug from 3 different points of view. Then he was like, 'ok, off you go! Begin to draw your pillows!' It was hard to know where to start but once I did time passed so quickly and it was so relaxing and I don't think it looked too bad once I had finished it. We then all pinned them up on the walls outside our classroom and admired each others work. Mine definitely wasn't the worst but I was near the bottom of the class based on ability. Some peoples drawings were absolutely amazing, like, they really shouldn't be in a beginners class! I made a friend too, Luz, (pronounced Luzee, how cool is that?!) and we got along very well, she is a very nice girl!

It was so much fun!

I am so excited for all the other college evenings I have ahead!
