Today was a really busy but fantastic day!
My friend Erika picked me up at 9am and we drove to South Norwalk train station and took the train directly into Grand Central Station. When we arrived in the city we went to Blake Todd for brunch. It was a small little breakfast bar. I had a hot chocolate and French toast covered in Maple Syrup! YUMMY!
We then walked to the Rockefeller's Christmas Tree. It was a very nice Christmas tree with beautiful decorations but I thought it would be bigger and fuller... In front of the Christmas Tree there was an ice skating rink and lots of other Christmas decorations. Then we walked up 49th street and went into lots of the stores that had such nice Christmas decorations inside and outside. It was really magical and Christmassy and there was a buzz around the city!
We then walked to Central Park. There was a Christmas market and we walked around it and I bought a Christmas tree decoration - Pinocchio. We then walked around inside Central Park (unfortunately no sign of the impractical jokers!) and then we found the ice rink and we did ice skating in central park which was such an experience! I am delighted that I can say that I have ice skated in Central Park! It was truly magical! And I didn't fall over this time. It was so nice!
Afterwards we walked through Times Square (which was ridiculously busy!!!) and then walked back to Grand Central Station. We took the train home and both fell asleep.
We both went back to my house and we spent some time with Cameron, Avery and Beverly before putting them to bed. We then went out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant. We shared chicken fried rice, special chow mein and sesame spicy chicken. It was really good food! We then went back to my house and watched a couple of films. The Conjuring and 6 Souls - both very good films. At about 2am we then went to bed!
A really great day!
