It’s only Wednesday and I have already had a very busy week so far!
I have done lots of activities with the children; baking, painting, arts and crafts, the library and lots of playing. It has also snowed the last couple of days and so myself, Cameron and Avery couldn't resist going outside to build a snowman!
I met up with a new friend, Erika. She is from Sweden and she is very lovely. We went to Orem’s Diner in Wilton for dinner. She was very easy to talk to and we both shared life stories, destination goals and spoke about American life. She has been in the USA for nearly a year and she is very happy. She has made me feel inspired to book weekend travelling trips as she has visited so many places and seen so many amazing things. She is a very nice person and I can see us becoming great friends during this time in the USA we have together.
I also met up with 3 other girls; Nele, Celina and Lena and we went for dinner at an Italian restaurant. Again, the girls were so welcoming, easy to talk to and friendly. We spoke about our families here in the USA and our time here so far. It was very nice.
I have also seen a lot of Gwen’s mom and dad recently. They are such kind, funny and lovely people. Gwen’s dad, Steve is from the UK so we are always talking about UK football, UK news/politics or simply the food (mainly chocolate)! They only live 10 minutes away so we often spend time together, going to their house for dinner or they will come to our house for dinner.
I feel so welcomed into this family.
I really feel like I am a part of the family.
I am so happy!
